Kathryn Watne and Noelle Newton both belonged to Art on Oak, an artist co-op in downtown Hood River, OR. When the co-op soap maker relocated, they saw an opportunity. Kathryn had made soap in the past under the name ‘She Who Washes’ so they decided to revive the business and started making soap again. All-natural soaps with essential oils, clays, botanicals, and spices for color. Salves and lotions followed, as well as fantastic lip balms and bath salts made with things grown in their gardens like rose petals, lavender and rosemary.
Kathy retired from soap making a couple of years ago, but Noelle continues to use the same recipes, as well as coming up with some new products depending on what has flourished in the garden this year!
